Since starting with Lego Mindstorms at 12 years old, Nick has been building robots for over 15 years! He graduated from Imperial College London with an MEng in Mechanical Engineering, spending most of his time running robot competitions & leading teams at Imperial College Robotics Society (ICRS) instead of studying fluid mechanics. Nick then spent 2 years working at BladeBUG as one of the very first engineers designing and deploying legged robots for wind turbine inspection and maintenance. From there he joined Professor Hiroshi Ishiguro as a PhD Researcher at Osaka University and ATR, before dropping out to found Refined Robotics with co-founder Yui Bishago. Refined Robotics now has offices in Tokyo and Singapore, and is preparing for entry into the UK and EU markets.
