Derek was workingi for Royal Mail for 23 years in different operational, strategic and HR roles. Since 2002 he has been working with Whatnext4u Ltd with postal operators and other sector stakeholders in Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia. In particicular he organises three annual international benchmarking workshops for Small Posts, Delivery Operations and Retail & Customer Touchpoints - see www.plefora.co.uk for details. He has also edited 8 thought leadership books with a new one being planned for publication in September 2026.
