To tackle this, Körber developed the Address Digitalization Station (ADS), which digitally enhances rejected letters, enabling their reintegration into automated sorting and significantly reducing manual handling. ADS also creates a digital twin for every mail piece — a virtual copy containing the image, address, and processing data. This digital twin enables precise tracking and dynamic management throughout sorting and delivery. By re-automating rejected mail processing with ADS, Körber maximizes cost efficiency and streamlines operations. This technology accelerates processing, lowers expenses, and advances the industry toward fully automated, smarter mail handling — driving sustainable automation and improved accuracy across mail centers.
