Off-Grid Parcel Locker
However, some of the locations that are most valuable to customers are difficult or expensive to connect to the electricity grid. Permits, cabling, groundworks and long utility lead times can delay deployment or remove otherwise attractive sites from consideration.
The Off-Grid Locker eliminates that dependency.
- Battery-powered operation, with solar support where required
- enables installation in residential areas, rural communities, transport-adjacent locations, car parks and other sites where a permanent grid connection is unavailable or uneconomic.
- Different interface configurations can support the needs and maturity of a particular market, including screen-based and lower-energy interaction models.
- Customers can use familiar authentication methods such as QR codes, PINs or mobile applications, while operators retain remote monitoring and software-update capabilities
Off-grid should not replace every on-grid machine. Its strategic role is to complement the main network by filling coverage gaps, shortening the customer’s journey to the nearest point and accelerating deployment where infrastructure would otherwise become the bottleneck.
That is why it is a density builder: it allows the network to follow customer demand rather than the availability of a power socket.
