For ACS the leading courier company in Greece since 1981, EuroSort has designed and integrated 2 Dual Split Tray Sorters.
1 Envelope Sorter that has 242 destinations direct to tote
1 Small/Medium parcel sorter that has 254 destinations direct to tote
Furthermore, this solution uses a semi-automatic induction with top loading. Operators induct items through an induction belt that has an LED Induction Light to alert them when an item recirculates (and the tray is full). There is also a manual induction area for non-conveyables and no-reads on both sorters.
Both sorters are equipped with MID certified weighing and volume measurement.
To increase the number of destinations without increasing the footprint the sorter uses a Cross Divert Chute that allows for both inside and outside sorting, and also has custom designed chutes for very light items.
The solution can sort up to 20000 items per hour per sorter (40000 items per hour in the full solution).
There is over 300 meters of conveyor technology that seamlessly integrates the Split Tray Sorter with a Cross Belt Sorter that is in the same building.
