On June 5th, 2024, DPD officially opened its new parcel distribution hub in Loures, the largest in Portugal. The facility, at the heart of DPD’s network in the country, is part of their expansion plan to meet growing e-commerce demand. 

Fives equipped the hub with the GENI-Belt™, its state-of-the-art automated sorting solution, enabling unmatched operational performance. 

The automated sorting solution includes one 405-meter-long GENI-Belt™ cross-belt sorter, three high-speed induction lines, and 95 destination chutes for local and international deliveries.
