Parcel lockers with the soul of the city – how Nova Post is changing urban space
)
In Kyiv’s universities, lockers are styled with architectural elements and quotes from Sikorsky, Paton and Korolyov. Near the SENS bookstore, a black cat sits in a box reading; at Atlas Weekend, lockers double as luggage storage with jokes about beer, tents and wet sneakers.
“A parcel locker is technology. But we noticed that people want to see it not only as a function, but also as something that speaks to them informally — in their language, culture and context. That’s why we started giving them a voice — their own local voice. And now, in every city, the parcel locker says ‘hello’ in a different way,”
— comments Pavlo Daniman, Marketing Director at Nova Post.
As of July 2025, more than 200 customised lockers are operating in Ukraine, and Nova Post plans to add at least 1,000 more by the end of the year, in partnership with universities, brands, festivals and city administrations.
Like all Nova Post parcel lockers, these operate 24/7, open via the app and support fully contactless service: receiving and sending parcels up to 20 kg, storing shipments for up to 5 days, and serving as transfer points or temporary storage.
Today Nova Post manages over 28,600 parcel lockers across Ukraine — the largest single-company network in Europe. The company’s goal is to make even the most practical things part of people’s space and local history, turning delivery into something more than just a service.
